Marie Muller Priqueler was born in Franche-Comté, France in 1993. She currently works part time as a fine arts professor and lives in Besançon, France. She is an artist who works in a variety of media, with a base in photography, papermaking and crafts.
Very quickly seized by gender issues through her studies, her work is characterized by psychoanalytic, philosophical, biological and esoteric research on alternative representations of female subjectivity. She creates images, sculptures, performances or living installations about the close relationship between a woman, her body, planet Earth; and questions the visual representations of women bodies in our current society.
His works were exhibited at Fluctuart for the ICART prize (Paris, 2023) at the Salon d’Automne at the Grande Halle de la Villette section Environmental Art (Paris, 2022), at the Appel d’Air Contemporary Art Biennale (Arras, 2022), in the performative online exhibition Hidden Garden Game (Moscow, 2021), or at the Webber Gallery curated by Ruth Blees Luxembourg (London, 2020). She also created her first virtual and fully immersive exhibition between a gallery and the Franc-comtoises forests: A Life Time Comes and Goes, with the support of a drone director (Besançon, 2021).
Marie creates her work with the expertise and technique of her partner Thomas Petetin.
